Infusion of "cichoria intybus" root, harvested in autumn, washed, dried and ground. A healthy substitute for the classic espresso coffee, with a slightly bitter taste combined with a pleasant caramel note.
Roasting: slow - medium
Features: remineralizing drink with detoxifying properties for the liver.
Use: suitable for mocha and infusion
Tips for use: fill half the mocha filter and keep over low heat. Or infuse in hot water for 3/4 minutes, then filter.
More information: chicory is a spontaneous plant commonly found in many parts of Italy. It has detoxifying properties for the liver and contains beneficial substances such as inulin, a fibre that stimulates and facilitate the digestion, rebalancing the intestinal flora. Chicory root is completely caffeine free and doesn't contain sugar, therefore perfect for weight-loss diets, and rich in polyphenols, substances that act against free radicals ideal to fight cellular aging.
